Learning to recite the Quran is a beautiful achievement, but Islam is a complete way of life. To truly practice our faith, we must understand the “Essentials”—the daily prayers, the declarations of faith, and the beautiful manners taught by our Prophet (PBUH).
Our Basic Islamic Essentials course is designed to go beyond the books and instill a deep, practical love for Islam in the hearts of students.
What Does the “Essentials” Course Cover?
We have bundled the most important pillars of a Muslim’s daily life into one comprehensive program:
1. The Six Kalimas (Declarations of Faith)
The Kalimas are the foundation of our belief. We don’t just help students memorize them; we ensure they understand the profound meaning behind the words, strengthening their Iman (faith) from a young age.
2. Namaz (The Pillar of Success)
Prayer is the most important daily connection between a Muslim and Allah. Our tutors provide step-by-step guidance on:
-
Wudu: The physical and spiritual art of purification.
-
Method of Prayer: Correct postures and recitation for the five daily prayers.
-
Understanding Salah: Knowing what we say to Allah during our prostration.
3. Daily Duas (Supplications)
Islam teaches us to remember Allah in every action. We teach students the Sunnah Duas for:
-
Waking up and going to sleep.
-
Before and after eating.
-
Entering and leaving the home.
-
Seeking protection and guidance.
4. Ahadees (Prophetic Wisdom)
The sayings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are a treasure of moral guidance. We select short, easy-to-understand Ahadees that teach children about:
-
Honesty and Kindness: Being a good person to family and friends.
-
Cleanliness: “Purity is half of faith.”
-
Respect: How to treat parents and elders.
